WAM...the Web Answer Machine

WAM uses your email inbox to store your messages, letting you get to them faster, easier, and actually giving you content in them, unlike traditional voicemail. As you know, here the message is hidden away from you and the only way to get to them is by voicecall.

Easy access

Because WAM uses your existing email as your answer machine, it is as easy to access as your email. So you can listen to them by webmail, Thunderbird, Outlook, Lotus or even on your iPhone or Blackberry. Of course you'll still be able to dial in to listen to your messages the same way you always have

Lifespan

Imagine if all the music you bought you could only listen to it for a week and then it was gone? Or the memory of your last holiday also disappeared after 7 days? That's what happens to your voicemail, you listen to it, but 'saving' normally means for a maximum of a week. You cant keep it forever...why would you put up with that? Only because its the way its always been, but we think that's wrong. Thats why we made the WAM so you could get your voicemails a new way, by putting them straight in your inbox

Free your voicemail

We put them in your email inbox, and once they're there, you can do whatever you like with them....they're automatically saved forever until you specifically delete them. You can save them to your hard-drive, forward them to friends and family

From there you can do whatever you can do with any other email. The freedom to listen again and again, forward to friends and family, reply, save, cut and paste, and many other things we've not thought of yet, but then we've never had access to our voicemail before, have we?

Which email

While at the moment we're giving detailed instructions for googlemail only, WAM will work just as well with any IMAP4 email (huh?). We'll be expanding the detailed instructions shortly, starting with .Mac.

Which phone

The simple answer is, any. Provided you can divert your voicemails, you can use any phone you like with WAM.

Premium WAM

We plan to launch a premium ad-free service soon, with extra features and widgets galore.

Global WAM

At the moment WAM is available only for UK contract mobiles, but this too could well change, let us know if you're interested by sending us an email
